Linzi Li is renowned for her rich and diversified roles as a pianist, singer, and teacher. In recent years, Linzi has focused on solo piano performance under the tutelage of Jeffrey Swann, becoming a well-rounded musician. As a collaborative pianist, Linzi has gained experience from prestigious music institutions, immersing herself fully in rigorous collaborations, coaching, competitions, juries, and performances. She served as a department assistant at the Eastman School of Music while pursuing her degree. Her principal collaborative piano professors include Jean Barr, Andrew Harley, Alan Smith, and Xiaoyan Xia. Linzi has also been trained as a singer for years under the guidance of Guang Yang. Her ability to play and sing while teaching is a unique way of explaining music. Enjoying her versatility as both a pianist and singer, Linzi was accepted to Songfest in Los Angeles, where she performed in several recitals and masterclasses. Linzi holds a Teacher Qualification Certificate in China. From 2010 to 2014, while majoring in Music Education at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Linzi taught music at Shanghai Xuhui High School. She is proficient in using LogicPro to compose and create her own music scores. Linzi's accomplishments include placing 3rd in the Vandoren Emerging Artists Competition in collaboration with clarinetist Mike Miller; playing for Friends of Eastman Opera with baritone David Fournie; performing the Chopin piano concerto in the Changjiang River Piano Competition in Yichang, China; being nominated in the Shanghai “Qin Dong Pujiang” Piano Competition; and receiving a silver prize in the female solo voice category of the Hong Kong International Choir Competition. She has also been awarded multiple Gold Medals at the World Choir Games in various categories and was titled “Champion of the World Choir Games” in Category 10 Female Choirs. Additionally, she was the champion at the fifth German Brahms Choir Festival in Wernigerode, Germany, and attended the summer program Songfest on a full scholarship.
